The Grenadian national football team is the national team of the Caribbean island state Grenada . Grenada is a member of the world football association FIFA and the regional association CONCACAF and therefore also takes part in qualifying games for football world championships and the CONCACAF Gold Cup . The team is nicknamed Spice Boyz because of the Grenadian spices . The team took part twice in the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 2009 and 2011 and were eliminated in the preliminary round. The qualification for a soccer world championship has not yet succeeded.
World Cup qualification
As part of the qualification for the 2010 Soccer World Cup in South Africa, the team met the national team of the American Virgin Islands in the first round of the CONCACAF zone . In St. George’s the team won 10-0 in front of 3,000 spectators and thus moved into the second round, where they met Costa Rica . The first leg on June 14, 2008 in St. George's ended 2-2 in a draw. The second leg took place on June 21 in San José and ended 0-3. Grenada was eliminated.

- 1982 - In qualifying for the 1982 World Cup in Spain , they met Guyana in qualifying for Group A in the Caribbean zone and were eliminated 2: 5 and 2: 3.
- 1986 - In qualifying for the 1986 World Cup in Mexico , they were drawn in Group 3 of the 1st round against Trinidad and Tobago , but they did not participate.
- 1990 to 1994 - did not participate
- 1998 - In qualifying for the 1998 World Cup in France , they met Guyana in the Caribbean zone 1 of the preliminary round and prevailed 2-1 and 6-0. Then you had to play against Haiti and were eliminated 1: 6 and 0: 1.
- 2002 - In qualifying for the 2002 World Cup in Japan and South Korea , they were drawn in the first round of Caribbean zone 1 against Barbados and were eliminated 2: 2 and 2: 3 after extra time.

- 2010 - In qualifying for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa , the US Virgin Islands played in the 1st round and qualified 10-0 in just one game for the 2nd round. There they were eliminated in Group 3 with 2: 2 and 0: 3 against Costa Rica .
- 2014 - In qualifying for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil , Guatemala , Belize and St. Vincent and the Grenadines were played in the 2nd round . After only 1 win and 1 draw from 6 games, they were eliminated as the bottom of the group.
- 2018 - In qualifying for the 2018 World Cup in Russia , the team met Puerto Rico in the second round in June 2015 and qualified 0: 1 and 2: 0 for the third round. There they were eliminated with 1: 3 and 0: 3 against Haiti .
