The Glenn County is a county in the north of the State of California . The county seat is in Willows .
history
The Glenn County in 1891 from parts of Colusa counties formed. He was named after Dr. Hugh J. Glenn who was the largest wheat farmer of his time in the area.
2 of the county's structures are on the National Register of Historic Places .

Glenn County's population was 26,453 as of the 2000 census . There were 9,172 households and 6,732 families. The population density was 8 people per square kilometer. The racial the population was composed of 71.78% White, 0.59% African American, 2.09% Native American, 3.38% Asian, 0.13% Pacific Islander, and 18.18% other races Groups; 3.86% were from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race was 29.64% of the population.
Of the 9,172 households, 38.10% had children and adolescents under the age of 18 living with them. 56.70% were married couples living together, 10.90% were single mothers. 26.60% were not families. 22.00% were single households and 10.70% had someone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.84 and the average family size was 3.33 people.
For the entire county, the population was composed of 30.80% of residents under 18 years of age, 8.70% between 18 and 24 years of age, 26.80% between 25 and 44 years of age, 20.70% between 45 and 64 years of age 13.00% were 65 years of age or over. The median age was 34 years. For every 100 females there were 102.20 males, for every 100 females aged 18 and over there were 99.50 males.
The median income for a household in the county is $ 32,107 , and the median income for a family is $ 37,023. Males had a median income of $ 29,480 versus $ 21,766 for females. The per capita income was $ 14,069. 18.10% percent of the population and 12.50% of families are below the poverty line. 26.30% of them were under 18 years of age and 7.60% were 65 years of age or older.
