The Greenville Festival was a music festival in the Märkisches Exhibition and Leisure Center (MAFZ) by couples in Glien in Havelland .
history
The festival took place for the first time in 2012 and was planned to be an annual event. According to official information, a total of 10,000 music fans attended the premiere. The festival took place over three days and had two open-air stages as well as a hall with another stage and a continuous DJ program. In 2013 the number of visitors was estimated at 20,000.
The festival organizer made a loss in the first year, but a ten-year lease was concluded for the site, with an initial profit only expected in one of the following years.

In 2014 the Open Air was planned for the days from July 25th to 27th, but was canceled at the beginning of July by the administration of the site and the artists without giving any reason, even without first informing the public and especially ticket buyers how a Refund of the tickets already purchased should take place. In the media and social networks, there was speculation about various reasons for the cancellation, since with creative talent those responsible for the festival were also involved in the bankruptcy of the Omas Teich Festival in 2013 and, parallel to the 2014 festival, tours by the Backstreet Boys and Snoop Dogg from The same organizers were canceled, which they had planned under different company names, but for the time being no reasons, no public announcements and no refund regulations were published for their cancellation. On September 11, 2014, the organizer creative talent officially announced its bankruptcy.
