Gricignano di Aversa is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 12,649 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Caserta in Campania . The municipality is located about 13 kilometers southwest of Caserta and about 15 kilometers north of Naples .

Agriculture shapes the place. The municipality is located on Strada Statale 7bis (variant) di Terra di Lavoro . The former Strada statale 265 dei Ponti della Valle now leads around Gricignano as provincial road 335. A train station ( Gricignano-Teverola ) exists together with the neighboring municipality of Teverola on the railway line from Naples to Foggia . The US Navy has a base here.
