Sparanise is an Italian commune ( comune ) with 7,332 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Caserta in Campania . The municipality is located about 24 kilometers northwest of Caserta in the so-called Agro caleno and on the Rio Lanzi . Since 2002 the municipality has been called Città (City).

The A1 Autostrada runs from Rome to Naples to the northeast of the municipality . South of the municipality, state road 7 from Lazio continues towards Caserta and Naples. There is a train station on the Roma – Cassino – Napoli line .
