Capodrise is an Italian commune ( comune ) with 10,232 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Caserta in Campania . The municipality is located about 4 kilometers southwest of Caserta and about 23 kilometers north of Naples .

history

Capodrise is first mentioned in a document in 1113, initially as Capotrisio . A later name is (1499) Capoderisio . In the 16th century, the town, like the surrounding countryside, suffered from the plague (1527, 1566) and the earthquake of 1538. Capodrise was added to the Marcianise municipality in 1928 . Only after the end of fascist rule does today's community emerge again.

To the east, the municipality is surrounded by the A1 from Naples towards Caserta, Rome and northern Italy . The next connection is in the neighboring municipality of Marcianise. The next train station in Recale or Marcianise.
