Riardo is an Italian commune ( comune ) with 2330 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Caserta in Campania . The municipality is located about 26 kilometers northwest of Caserta on the Monti Trebulani . Riardo is known for its mineral water, especially for the Ferrarelle brand as well as for the furniture fair and the castle. Fruit growing dominates agriculture.

Maybe Hannibal led his army this way through Campania. The castle, built by the Lombards, was built from the 8th century AD. The castle is surrounded by the old town center, a closed medieval building.
