Letino is an Italian village with 666 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Caserta in the Campania region . It is part of the Comunità Montana del Matese . The village became famous through the anarchist uprising in 1877, which was led by Errico Malatesta , Carlo Cafiero and Pietro Cesare Ceccarelli. A street in the town was named after him in honor of Malatesta. Another village from the same province that was also involved in the uprising was the village of Gallo.

The neighboring municipalities are Gallo Matese , Prata Sannita , Roccamandolfi ( IS ), San Gregorio Matese and Valle Agricola .
