Heini left-handed
Heini Linkshänder (real name Heinrich Straßer ; born January 22, 1938 in Laufen an der Salzach ; † May 8, 2012 in Worpswede ) was a German artist .
Career
Straßer lost his right arm in an accident at work on a circular saw in 1960. He was a guest student with Fritz Wotruba at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts , with Alfons Ortner at the Academy of Applied Arts in Linz , with Heinrich Kirchner at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and with Joseph Beuys in Düsseldorf .
From 1977 to 1979 he attended the international summer academy for fine arts in Salzburg (class for etching with Friedrich Meckseper ).
From 1972 he worked as a freelance artist , including as a painter , draftsman , graphic artist , goldsmith , sculptor and action artist .
