final

August 24, 2015, 7:30 p.m. local time (1:30 p.m. CEST )

The circle of favorites primarily included the Colombian Caterine Ibargüen as world champion from 2013 , runner-up world champion from 2011 and Olympic runner-up in 2012 , the Russian Olympic champion from 2012, Olympic runner-up in 2008 and World Cup runner-up in 2011, Olga Rypakowa and the Ukrainian Olha Saladucha as world champion of 2011, World Cup third in 2013, Olympic third in 2012 and double European champion in 2012 and 2014 .

The first series of tests did not yet bring the very big distances. It was led by Bulgarian Gabriela Petrowa with 14.52 m in front of Ibargüen with 14.47 m and Rypakowa with 14.23 m. Saladucha jumped 14.22 m in fourth place. In the second round, Ibargüen took the lead with 14.80 m. Quite surprisingly, the Israeli Hanna Knjasjewa-Minenko reached 14.78 m, with which she was second in the intermediate ranking. The Russian Yekaterina Konewa achieved 14.37 m and thus sat fourth. The Jamaican Kimberly Williams conquered fifth place with 14.26 m. In the third round, the German Kristin Gierisch reached 14.26 m, with which she was now sixth and had three more attempts in the final of the best eight.

Pass four brought about another shift. First Saladucha scored 14.41 m and temporarily took fourth position. Then Rypakowa improved to bronze with 14.59 m and the leading Colombian climbed another ten centimeters to 14.90 m. But nothing was decided yet. Williams scored 14.45 m with her fifth jump and was fifth ahead of Saladucha, who had fallen two places since her last jump. She was pushed back one rank when Petrowa recaptured the bronze rank from Rypakowa with 14.66 m. But the Russian countered in the last round with an increase to 14.77 m. Caterine Ibargüen, who has been two leading since the run, became world champion. Hanna Knjasjewa-Minenko surprisingly won the silver medal, which Olga Rypakowa missed by an inch. But she had won bronze. Gabriela Petrowa was fourth, ahead of Kimberly Williams and Olha Saladucha. Jekaterina Konewa came in seventh place, Kristin Gierisch came in eighth.
