List of active major general in the Bundeswehr
This (incomplete) list contains the active major generals of the Bundeswehr (or comparable ranks: Rear Admiral , General Staff Doctor , Admiral Staff Doctor ) and their current use.
Explanation
According to the personnel budget of Section 14 of the Federal Budget Act 2020, 51 posts are planned for grade B 7. In addition to the major general, this includes the rear admiral and the doctor general or admiral staff (→ list of active rear admirals and admiral staff doctors ). Six of the 51 permanent posts are in the Federal Ministry of Defense . The number of positions is not always the same as the number of grade holders.
