The Naabtal-Radweg is a long-distance cycle path along the Naab from Unterwildenau to Regensburg . Almost its entire length runs parallel to the Regensburg – Weiden railway line .

Course and characteristics

The Naabtal-Radweg begins in Luhe-Wildenau at the confluence of the Haidenaab coming from the north-west and the Waldnaab coming from the north. The Haidenaab cycle path and the Waldnaabtal cycle path also meet here . The Naab Valley Cycle Path is very well developed and very well signposted for almost the entire route on cycle paths directly on the banks of the Naab. There are shopping, refreshment and overnight facilities and camping sites along the entire route. Since the cycle path runs parallel to a regional railway line on which bicycles are transported, it can be shortened and interrupted without any problems.

• Luhe-Wildenau : Medieval market in the district of Luhe with Huss Tower and Martinskirche, which dates back to the Gothic period .
• Wernberg-Köblitz : Wernberg Castle, first mentioned in the 13th century, and the medieval fortified church of St. Emmeram in Oberköblitz.
• Pfreimd : Church of the Assumption of Mary built in the 16th century and the Franciscan monastery Pfreimd, also from the 16th century .
• Perschen : Edelmannshof from 1605, parish church of St. Peter and Paul and cemetery chapel from the 13th century and open air museum in Upper Palatinate

• Schwarzenfeld : The mausoleum and the castle of the Counts of Holnstein , the Church of St. Dionysius and Egidius and the Trinity Church on the Miesberg.
• Schwandorf : The old town with numerous buildings from the 14th to 16th centuries and the rock cellars from the 19th century.
• Burglengenfeld : The listed old town and Burglengenfeld Castle, which dates back to the 9th century .
• Kallmünz : The Kallmünz castle ruins , which go back to a Celtic complex, several churches and castles from the 13th to 17th centuries.
• Pielenhofen : The Pielenhofen monastery founded in the 13th century .
