Location and economy

Twello is two kilometers from the A1 Amsterdam - Apeldoorn - Osnabrück motorway and on the railway between Apeldoorn and Deventer . A small train station was opened on this line on December 10, 2006, where a train stops twice an hour during the “peak hours” 7: 30–9: 30 am and 4–6 pm. Many commuters live here who work in Apeldoorn or Deventer. The meat industry, which was very influential until 2001, is no longer located. There is a small airfield in Teuge, a little west of Twello.

The village of Voorst lies between Apeldoorn and Zutphen . A little south of Voorst, near Empe (partly in the municipality of Brummen ), there has also been a train stop on the Apeldoorn – Zutphen line since December 10, 2006.

There is a psychiatric clinic in Wilp.
