Usseau is a municipality with 607 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine in the central west of France . It belongs to the canton of Châtellerault-2 (until 2015: canton of Saint-Gervais-les-Trois-Clochers ) in the arrondissement of Châtellerault . The inhabitants are called Usselois .
geography
Usseau is located about seven kilometers northwest of Châtellerault in the Pays Châtelleraudais . Usseau is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Leigné-sur-Usseau in the north and north-west, Vellèches in the north-east, Antran in the south and east, Thuré in the south-west and Saint-Gervais-les-Trois-Clochers in the west and north-west.
The A10 car route runs along the eastern edge of the municipality .
