The 1993 World Series was the second consecutive edition of the finals of Major League Baseball , some of which took place outside of the United States . For the second time in history, a team from Canada won the title.
The series started on October 16, 1993 and ended on October 23, 1993. It faced the champions of the American League , the Toronto Blue Jays , and the champions of the National League , the Philadelphia Phillies . The Toronto Blue Jays won the "Best of Seven" series with 4-2 wins. For the Blue Jays it was the second and so far last World Series win in the history of the franchise .

As MVP of the World Series was Paul Molitor excellent.
