The field of participants in the individual competition consisted of 32 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. For the individual tournament, a qualifying round with 21 participants took place in advance, in which four players were able to qualify for the main field. The event's prize money totaled 64,000 euros.
The singles went to the top seeded Italian Filippo Volandri , who won the final against his unseed compatriot Matteo Viola in three sets. This was the ninth Challenger singles title of his career and the first this season, after he had already lost two finals in this one. Last year's winner Pablo Andújar from Spain did not defend the title.
In the doubles competition, the pairing in second place consisting of Julian Knowle from Austria and Igor Zelenay from Russia won the final against the two unseeded French Romain Jouan and Benoît Paire in two sets. This was Knowle's 19th double title on the ATP Challenger Tour and the first in six years. For Zelenay it was the 13th title he won in doubles in this category and the second of the season. It was their first joint title. Last year's Italian winners Alessio di Mauro and Alessandro Motti were eliminated in fourth place in the quarter-finals.
