Bruno Martini (born January 25, 1962 in Nevers ) is a former French football player .
The goalkeeper was number one for the French team at the 1992 European Championships and as a result played 3 European Championship games. At the European Championships in 1996 he was only second choice behind Bernard Lama . Between August 1987 and May 1996 Martini played a total of 31 international matches for les Bleus .
Bruno Martini played a total of 492 top division games (65 for AS Nancy , 322 for AJ Auxerre and 105 for Montpellier HSC ) and even scored a goal, but never won a title: he was not in the final in 1994 when he won the Auxerre Cup , and when the club even won the doublé in 1996 , he was already guarding the gate at Montpellier. In 1987 and 1991 he was awarded the Étoile d'Or by France Football as best goalkeeper .
Later he was the goalkeeping coach of the Equipe Tricolore . Since 2014 he has been working again at HSC Montpellier in various functions.
