Jérémie Janot (born October 11, 1977 in Valenciennes ) is a former French football player .

Career

The goalkeeper comes from AS Saint-Étienne's youth department . In July 1996 he signed his first professional contract there. By May 2006 he played 111 times. Jérémie Janot's loyalty to the club quickly made it a fan favorite. The bald goalkeeper recently extended his contract until 2010. In addition to his saves, the small height of only 176 cm for a goalkeeper is also spectacular. To this day, it has not been enough to be nominated for the French national team. On May 4, 2012, FC Lorient announced that they had loaned Janot from AS Saint-Etienne , where he had a contract until 2013, until the end of the 2011/12 season due to a transfer joker .

Style of play

Jérémie Janot became known throughout France for his parades, some of which are spectacular. In his young years he practiced the martial art "Freefight", which is noticeable in some parades. Also striking are his (specially made for him) jerseys and the tribal tattoo on the back of his head. Janot also drew a lot of attention when he played in a Spiderman costume in a game against FC Istres in 2005 . Above all, it is characterized by its enormous jumping ability, which enables it to parry almost untenable shots. In 2007 he received the Étoile d'Or .
