Caracol , officially Município de Caracol , is a city in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul in the south-west mesoregion in the Bodoquena microregion .
The area of the municipality borders on Paraguay . A planned 120 meter long bridge over the Rio Apa is to connect the place with San Carlos on the Paraguayan side.
