Itaquiraí , officially Portuguese Município de Itaquiraí , is a city in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul in the Centro-Oeste (Midwest) region.
geography
location
The city is 407 km from the capital of the state ( Campo Grande ) and 1342 km from the state capital ( Brasília ). The city borders on Naviraí , Eldorado and Iguatemi .
climate
The climate is subtropical, according to the climate classification of Köppen and Geiger Cfa .
Waters
The city is under the influence of the Río Paraguay and the Rio Paraná , which belong to the river system of the Río de la Plata . Rivers that run through the urban area: Rio Amambai (right tributary of the Rio Paraná) and Rio Maracai .

The area is part of the Cerrados (savannah of central Brazil).

The state road MS-295 runs through the city.
