Terenos , officially Município de Terenos , is a city in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul in the Mesoregion Central-Nord in the microregion Campo Grande .

The city is located 27 km from the capital of the state ( Campo Grande ) and 1053 km from the state capital ( Brasília ). Neighboring cities are Corguinho , Rochedo , Campo Grande, Sidrolândia , Aquidauana and Dois Irmãos do Buriti .

Waters

The city is under the influence of the Rio Aquidauana , which is part of the river system of the Río de la Plata . It is a right tributary of the Rio Miranda .

The area is part of the Cerrados (savannah of central Brazil).

The city has a tropical climate (Aw).

traffic

The federal road BR-262 and the state road MS-352 go through the city area.
