Novo Horizonte do Sul , officially Município de Novo Horizonte do Sul , is a city in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul in the south-west mesoregion in the Iguatemi microregion .

The city is 326 km from the capital of the state ( Campo Grande ) and 1250 km from the state capital ( Brasília ). The city borders on Jateí and Ivinhema .

Waters

The city is under the influence of the Rio Paraná , which is part of the river system of the Río de la Plata . The Rio Guiraí flows through the urban area as the right tributary of the Rio Ivinhema , which becomes the Rio Paraná.
