Bandeirantes , officially Município de Bandeirantes , is a city in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul .
geography
location
The city is 70 km from the capital of the state ( Campo Grande ) and 956 km from the federal capital ( Brasília ). Neighboring cities are Camapuã in the north, Ribas do Rio Pardo in the east, Jaraguari in the south and Rochedo and Corguinho in the west .
Waters
The city is under the influence of the Rio Paraná , which is part of the river system of the Río de la Plata . The main rivers are:
- Rio Pardo : right tributary of the Rio Paraná .
- Rio Aquidauana : right tributary of the Rio Miranda . It has a length of 640 km.
