Batayporã , officially Município de Batayporã , is a city in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul in the east mesoregion in the Nova Andradina microregion . The city was founded by the Czech shoe entrepreneur Jan Antonín Baťa , who fled to Brazil from National Socialism .

The city is 313 km from the state capital ( Campo Grande ) and 1182 km from the state capital ( Brasília ). Neighboring cities are Taquarussu , Nova Andradina , Anaurilândia , Rosana , Marilena , São Pedro do Paraná and Porto Rico .
