Ivinhema , officially Portuguese Município de Ivinhema , is a city in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul in the greater Região Centro-Oeste (Midwest).

location
The city is located 284 km from the capital of the state ( Campo Grande ) and 1196 km from the state capital ( Brasília ). The city borders on Nova Andradina , Novo Horizonte do Sul , Angélica , Deodápolis and Jateí .
climate
The city has a tropical climate AW according to the climate classification of Köppen and Geiger . The climate is particularly humid in the north and northwest of the city. The average rainfall is between 1,400 and 1,700 mm per year. The lowest temperature ever recorded in the city is 0 ° C (August 14, 1978).
