Paranhos , officially Município de Paranhos , is a city in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul in the south-west mesoregion in the Iguatemi microregion .

The city is located 469 km from the capital of the state ( Campo Grande ) and 1725 km from the state capital ( Brasília ). The city borders on Tacuru , Sete Quedas , Amambai , Coronel Sapucaia and Ypehú (direct neighboring city in Paraguay ).

Waters

The city is under the influence of the Rio Paraná , which is part of the river system of the Río de la Plata .
