Farm Aid
Farm Aid is an American organization that has set itself the task of maintaining and supporting family-run farms in the USA. In addition, she organizes an annual music concert with well-known stars.
The history of Farm Aid began on September 22nd, 1985 with a charity concert in Champaign, Illinois with the aim of providing financial support to the family farms . The concert was organized by Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp . Nelson and Mellencamp achieved with their actions u. a. the adoption of the Agricultural Credit Act in 1987 by the US Congress .
Today's Farm Aid organizers include Nelson and Mellencamp, Neil Young and Dave Matthews .
