Kehytschiwka ( Ukrainian Кегичівка ; Russian Кегичёвка Kegitschjowka ) is an urban-type settlement in Ukraine and the administrative center of the raion of the same name in the southwest of Kharkiv Oblast with about 6,000 inhabitants (2016).
geography
Kehychivka is located 115 km southwest of the Kharkiv oblast center . The city has a train station on the Krasnohrad - Losowa railway line .
The municipality still includes the villages of Antoniwka (Ukrainian Антонівка ) with 220 inhabitants and Selena Dibrowa (Ukrainian Зелена Діброва ) with 70 inhabitants.
history
Founded in the middle of the 18th century, Kehychivka became a district center in 1923 and received urban-type settlement status in 1957.

The Kehytschiwka Rajon, founded in 1923 and administered from Kehytschiwka, is located in the southwest of Kharkiv Oblast and has an area of 782 km². Its population is about 23,000 residents. The population density of the Rajon is 29 inhabitants per km².
