Sawynzi

Savynzi ( Ukrainian Савинці ; Russian Савинцы Savinzy ) is an urban-type settlement in the Ukrainian Oblast of Kharkiv with about 5100 inhabitants (2015).

The village, first mentioned in 1671, received the status of an urban-type settlement in 1959 and is the center of the settlement council community of the same name in the east of Balaklija Rajon .

Savynzi is located on the left bank of the Siversky Donets on the regional road R 78 . The settlement has a railway station on the railway line from Kharkiv to the Donbas and is located 17 km southeast of the Balaklija district center and about 100 km southeast of the Kharkiv oblast center.

The settlement council municipality with an area of ​​103.5 km² also includes the villages Dowhaliwka ( Довгалівка ⊙ ) with about 700 inhabitants and Rakivka ( Раківка ⊙ ) with about 500 inhabitants.
