Piwdenne (Ukrainian Південне ; Russian Пивденное / Piwdennoje or earlier Южный / Juschny ) is a city in Ukraine in the north of Kharkiv Oblast about 18 kilometers southwest of the city of Kharkiv with about 7,700 inhabitants (2015).

The city was created in 1963 through the merger of the villages Komariwka (founded in the second half of the 17th century) and Juschny and took over the name of the settlement founded in 1906 for the workers of the Russian Southern Railway , Juschny or its Ukrainian counterpart Piwdenny (in German: "South").
