Berezivka

Berezivka ( Ukrainian Березівка ; Russian Березовка Berezovka ) is an urban-type settlement in the Ukrainian Oblast of Kharkiv with around 1,600 inhabitants (2019).

The village, first mentioned in writing in 1629, received the status of an urban-type settlement in 1938 and forms its own, 18.73 km² settlement council within the Kharkiv district . The name Berezivkas comes from the river of the same name, which is now largely silted up, and which only forms a series of ponds in the village.

In the south, Berezivka borders on the urban area of Piwdenne . The center of Kharkiv is 18 km northeast of the village.
