Andriivka ( Ukrainian Андріївка ; Russian Андреевка Andrejewka ) is an urban-type settlement in the center of the Ukrainian Oblast Kharkiv with about 9000 inhabitants (2014).
Andrijiwka was founded in 1663 and received urban-type settlement status in 1938. It is the only village in the settlement council of the same name and has a train station on the Kharkiv – Lyman railway line .
geography
Andriivka is located in the Balaklija district at an altitude of 95 m on the bank of the Siversky Donets, about 70 km southeast of the Kharkiv Oblast center and 24 km northwest of the Balaklija district center . The regional road P-78 runs through the village . On the opposite bank of the river is the Donez urban-type settlement and to the northwest of the settlement is Lake Lyman .
