Slatyne

Slatyne ( Ukrainian Слатине ; Russian Слатино Slatino ) is an urban-type settlement in the north of the Ukrainian Oblast of Kharkiv with about 6500 inhabitants (2015).

The village was founded in 1913, has had the status of an urban-type settlement since 1957 and is the center of the settlement council of the same name within the Derhatschi district . The village of Solonyj Yar ( Солоний Яр ⊙ ) with about 10 inhabitants also belongs to the municipality.

Slatyne is mostly on the left bank of the Lopan ( Лопань ), a 96 km long tributary of the Udy and on the territorial road T – 21–17 13 km north of the Rajon center Derhatschi and 28 km north of the Oblast center Kharkiv .
