Wassyschtschewe

Wassyschtschewe ( Ukrainian Васищеве ; Russian Васищево Wassishschewo ) is an urban-type settlement in the Ukrainian Oblast of Kharkiv with around 5800 inhabitants (2019).

The village was founded in 1647 and has had the status of an urban-type settlement since 1938. Wassyschtschewe is the center of the settlement council of the same name in the southeast of Kharkiv Raion , to which the settlement Podoljoch ( Подольох ) with about 280 inhabitants.

Wassyschtschewe is located on the left bank of the Udy and on the regional road P-78 17 km south of the Kharkiv Oblast center .
