List of members of the Tyrolean state parliament (16th legislative period)
This list of members of the Tyrolean state parliament (XVI. Legislative period) lists all members of the Tyrolean state parliament in the XVI. Legislative period (as of October 6, 2017).
history
After the state elections in Tyrol in 2013, 16 of the 36 mandates went to the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP), five to the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ), five to Die Grünen Tirol (Greens), four to Vorwärts Tirol (VT), and four the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ) and two on the list Fritz Dinkhauser - Bürgerforum Tirol (FRITZ).
The first session of the Tyrolean Parliament during this period took place on May 24, 2013. After the constitution of the Landtag, the deputies were sworn in, followed by the election of the Presidium of the Landtag, followed by the election of the members of the Platter II provincial government and the appointment of the representatives of the Tyrolean Landtag in the Federal Council .
Those MPs who were elected to the state government renounced their state parliament mandates for the duration of their government activity and were therefore only members of the Tyrolean state parliament for a short time during the constituent session.
Functions
Landtag President
- The former Governor Herwig van Staa (ÖVP) was elected President of the Tyrolean Parliament in the constituent session , receiving 29 of the 36 votes. Five MPs voted against van Staa, two votes remained invalid. He already exercised this function in the previous legislative period.
- The MPs elected Anton Mattle (ÖVP) as the first vice-president of the Tyrolean state parliament , who also received 31 votes. Five MPs had voted against him. In this role he succeeded Johannes Bodner (also ÖVP), who had left the state parliament.
- As a result of the first coalition between the ÖVP and the Greens in Tyrol, the SPÖ lost its political claim to the 2nd Vice President, which is why Hermann Weratschnig (Greens), a member of the Greens, was elected to the Presidium for the first time. He received 24 votes, 12 MPs voted against Weratschnig.
Club chairmen
- After the previous ÖVP club chairman Josef Geisler took over the office of the regional council, the Imst state parliament member and mayor of Umhausen Jakob Wolf was elected club chairman of the ÖVP. Hermann Kuenz became his deputy .
- There was also a change in the SPÖ when they left the government. The previous Deputy Governor Gerhard Reheis was elected as the new SPÖ Club Chairman, his predecessor Hans-Peter Bock was sent to the Federal Council.
- After Christine Baur , the Greens 'previous club chairwoman, moved into the state government, Gebi Mair , the Greens' top candidate in Innsbruck, was elected as the new club chairman.
- Hans Lindenberger took on this role in the Vorwärts Tirol list, which was newly represented in the state parliament . Since February 20, 2015, the state parliament club vorwärts Tirol has called itself the "impuls-tirol-state parliament club".
- Only the FPÖ and the Fritz list provided Gerald Hauser and Andrea Haselwanter-Schneider, respectively, the same club chairmen as before the 2013 election, although Hauser was replaced by Rudi Federspiel in November 2013 .
Federal Councilors
In the constituent session, the Tyrolean Landtag also elected the Federal Councilors who are to represent Tyrol's interests in the Austrian Federal Council . According to the election results, the ÖVP sends three members with Andreas Köll , Sonja Ledl-Rossmann and Anneliese Junker , the Greens and the SPÖ provide one member each with Nicole Schreyer (Greens) and Hans-Peter Bock (SPÖ). All Federal Councilors were elected unanimously, which were subsequently sworn in by the Federal Council President in Vienna.
