The Nassauische traffic mbH (NVG) is a bus enterprise in the Rhein-Lahn-Kreis in Rhineland-Palatinate. NVG is a 100 percent subsidiary of Transdev GmbH , based in Bogel .

history

In today's Rhein-Lahn district, Nassauische Kleinbahn AG operated a narrow-gauge small railway network from 1900 to 1903. From 1938 onwards it was supplemented by the railway's own bus routes.

After rail passenger traffic was discontinued in 1953 and freight traffic in 1977, the Nassauische Verkehrs-Gesellschaft mbH was founded on January 1, 1978 to continue bus operations; she took over the omnibus concessions of the small railway company.

In addition to the Rhein-Lahn-Kreis, the AG for Transport was also involved in NVG with 75% of the capital, whose shares were transferred to Connex Verkehr GmbH, today Transdev GmbH , in 2000 .

business

The headquarters of the company, which owns around 50 buses, was relocated from Nastätten to Bogel in 2006 . With the 2015 timetable change, the NVG lost all lines in the “Blaues Ländchen / Einrich” and “Loreley” area to Martin Becker GmbH from Altenkirchen, which belongs to Rhenus-Veniro . The NVG is now more oriented towards Hesse, so in 2014 the tender "Niedernhausen / Idstein" and the Idstein city traffic were won. At the timetable change in December 2016, the NVG was able to use the lines 271 (Wiesbaden - Idstein) and 272 (Wiesbaden - Limburg) previously operated by the Verkehrsgesellschaft Mittelhessen and the lines 275 / X76 (Wiesbaden - Nastätten and then operated by Omnibusverkehr Rhein-Nahe) . Katzenelnbogen) win.

Line overview

With the 2015 timetable change, the NVG lost all lines in the “Blaues Ländchen” and “Loreley” areas. These are now being carried out by the Martin Becker bus operator. Until December 2015 the NVG operated the following lines in Rhineland-Palatinate:

In addition to these (former) lines, the NVG has also been operating the following lines on behalf of RTV since December 2014 in the Rheingau-Taunus district :

Geisenheim

former lines:

  • Line 180: Geisenheim - Marienthal
  • Line 182: Round trip: Geisenheim - Johannisberg - Stephanshausen
  • Line 182: Hallgarten - Hattenheim
  • Line 185: (Rüdesheim -) Geisenheim - Johannisberg - Stephanshausen - Presberg

Idstein

Furthermore, the NVG operates as a subcontractor for the Rhine-Nahe bus transport :

  • Line 171: Wiesbaden - Eltville - Winkel - Geisenheim - Rüdesheim (- Lorchhausen)

When the RMV timetable changed on December 11, 2016, the NVG took over the RTK-Wiesbaden Nord (269, 271, X72) and RTK-Wiesbaden Bäderstraße (275, X76) line bundles and thus received additional regional bus routes in the Rheingau-Taunus district and the Rhine -Lahn district and in the Limburg-Weilburg district . With the takeover there were numerous improvements on line 271 (Idstein - Wiesbaden ), which had previously been heavily criticized. On the one hand, the route to Wiesbaden has been reduced by a minimal amount, and on the other hand, spacious articulated buses of the type "O 530 GÜ" have been used since the takeover.

Others

The management of Nassauische Verkehrs- GmbH also heads AWV Ahrweiler Verkehrs GmbH , Transdev Taunus , Nutzfahrzeugzentrum Mittelrhein GmbH and Verkehrsbetriebe Rhein Eifel Mosel GmbH , all of which are subsidiaries of Transdev GmbH .
