Lautert coat of arms
Blazon : "Split of blue and black with an interwoven half golden tip, inside a red orb , in front a soaring red-armored and red-tongued golden lion , behind a golden ax."
Reasons for the coat of arms: The golden lion in the blue field indicates that the municipality belongs to the Duchy of Nassau , the red orb in gold symbolizes the seal of the Quadruple Court of Oberwallmenach in inverted colors, to which Lautert belonged until 1775, the golden hatchet (or ax) reminds us the clearing of the forest to create the settlement in the 12th century. The blue also symbolizes the area known as the “ blue country ” because of the numerous blue dyers in the past .
