coat of arms
Blazon : "A red mark in gold (arrow with crossbar, on the right a smear, on the left a bow pulling the arrow stick downwards)." | |
Justification of the coat of arms: This Schweighäuser place symbol appears on an old boundary stone. The place can be proven as a Nassau fiefdom of the lords von Stein as early as the 14th century and remained Steiner's possession until 1806. The colors of the coat of arms are therefore complemented by those of the barons vom Stein. The Schweighausen court, attested since 1550, did not have its own seal. Only after its transition to Nassau did the community have seals since 1816, but they do not include a picture. |
