Pipermoor / Mühlbachtal nature reserve

The nature reserve Pipermoor / Mühlbachtal is a 17 hectare nature reserve in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania north of Schwanheide . It was placed under protection on October 1, 1990 with the aim of preserving a bog with swamp forests and wet meadows crossed by peat cuttings as a habitat for rare animal and plant species.

The current state of the area is viewed as unsatisfactory, as the areas continue to be drained. Hunters and anglers use the area intensively, which also has a negative effect.
