The tour of the New Zealand national cricket team to South Africa in the 1961/62 season took place from December 8, 1961 to February 20, 1962. The international cricket tour was part of the 1961/62 international cricket season and comprised five tests . The series ended in a 0–0 draw.

It was the first tour of the season for both teams. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 1953/54 season in South Africa .
