The tour of the English national cricket team to India in the 1961/62 season took place from November 11, 1960 to January 15, 1961. The international cricket tour was part of the 1961/62 international cricket season and comprised five tests . India won the series 2–0.

prehistory

England did a tour in Pakistan before and after that, for India it was the first tour of the season. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in England in the 1959 season .
