List of the natural spatial units in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This list contains the units of the natural spatial structure used in the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania landscape program (last update 2003). There are four hierarchical levels:

  • Landscape zone
    • Large landscape
      • Landscape unit
        • Natural space

The divisions were drawn up separately for the marine area and for the terrestrial / limnic area and only then merged.

In the terrestrial / limnic area, no individual proper names were coined for units of the “natural space” level. They are identified by a number code (scheme: xxx-xx), the first three digits of which correspond to the code number of the higher-level landscape unit.
