This article sorts Indian states and union territories according to various geographic, demographic, economic, and social indicators. The first three lists show the administrative status from February 2020 with the union territories Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh as well as Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, the others the status from before November 2019 with the now dissolved state of Jammu and Kashmir, from which Ladakh was separated , and the separate union territories of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, which were merged in January 2020.
