Saint-Germier is a French commune in the department of Deux-Sèvres in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Poitou-Charentes ). It has 226 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) and belongs to the Parthenay arrondissement and the La Gâtine canton (until 2015: Ménigoute canton ). The inhabitants are called Saint-Germariens .

Saint-Germier is located about 25 kilometers south-southeast of Parthenay and about 36 kilometers east-northeast of Niort in the Gâtine . Saint-Germier is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Ménigoute in the north, Sanxay in the east and northeast, Rouillé in the east and southeast, Pamproux in the south, Soudan in the west and southwest and Fomperron in the west.
