Crossroads in front of Uherské Hradiště

The road, which forms part of European route 50 , branches off the Dálnice 1 motorway at junction (exit) 210 near Holubice, around 15 kilometers east of Brno , and initially heads south-east to Slavkov u Brna ( Austerlitz). Here the Silnice I / 54 branches off towards Kyjov (Gaya). The Silnice I / 50 continues in an easterly direction via Bučovice (Butschowitz) to Uherské Hradiště (Hungarian Hradiště ), runs south of this town over a distance of around 5 kilometers together with the Silnice I / 55 and continues overUherský Brod (Hungarian Brod) on the border with Slovakia in the White Carpathians (Bílé Karpaty) east of Starý Hrozenkov (Old Grape Village), where it merges into the Slovak Cesta I. triedy 9 (until 2015 Cesta I. triedy 50 ), which leads into the valley of the Waag (Váh).

The length of the road is almost 102 kilometers.

history

From 1940 to 1945 the street formed Reichsstraße 376 . Before the break-up of Czechoslovakia , a continuation of the Dálnice 1 motorway from Brno to the Slovak border at Starý Hrozenkov was planned, but this was subsequently given up in favor of a guided tour towards Ostrava .
