The 2011/12 Skeleton World Cup began on November 29, 2011 in Igls and ended on February 11, 2012 in Calgary . The season was held in eight World Cup races parallel to the 2011/12 Bobsleigh World Cup . The racing series was organized by the Fédération Internationale de Bobsleigh et de Tobogganing (FIBT). One of the highlights of the season was the European Championship from January 3rd to 8th, 2012 in Altenberg , which was held parallel to the World Cup. The season finale was the World Championship from February 13th to 26th, 2012 in Lake Placid .

The Intercontinental Cup , the European Cup and the America's Cup served as the foundation for the World Cup . The results of all racing series were included in the FIBT Skeleton Ranking 2011/12 .
