Victor Vlad Delamarina (1924: Satu Mic , Hungarian: Lugoskisfalu ) is a municipality in Timiș County , in the Banat region , in southwest Romania . The place was named after the Romanian naval officer and poet Victor Vlad Delamarina , who was born here. The villages of Herendeşti , Honorici , Pădureni , Petroasa Mare , Pini and Visag also belong to the municipality of Victor Vlad Delamarina .

The municipality of Victor Vlad Delamarina is located in the southeast of Timiș County, 5 kilometers from Lugoj , on the National Road Drum național 58A Lugoj- Soceni .

history

The place was first mentioned in 1717 during the Josephinian land survey under the name Satumik , had 60 houses and belonged to the Caraș-Severin County, Lugoj district. In 1811 Satu Mic was owned by the Spanish Baron Francesco Soro.

On June 4, 1920, the Banat was divided into three parts as a result of the Treaty of Trianon . The largest, eastern part, to which Satu Mic also belonged, fell to the Kingdom of Romania . In 1870 the Romanian poet Victor Vlad Delamarina was born here. In 1968 the place was named after him.
