history
Bulder was first mentioned in a Hungarian document in 1290. In the Middle Ages, the settlement had different names: Boudor (1368), Boldur (1371), Boldor (1416), Boldur (1597). In the 16th century the village belonged to the Belinț municipality . From 1690–1700 the current name Boldur was consolidated . Around 1739 Boldur was settled with Romanians from Oltenia ( Bufänen ) who had to flee to the Banat as a result of the Russo-Austrian Turkish War (1736–1739) .
After the Peace of Passarowitz (1718), when the Banat became a Habsburg crown domain , Boldur was part of the Temescher Banat .
On June 4, 1920, the Banat was divided into three parts as a result of the Treaty of Trianon . The largest, eastern part, to which Boldur also belongs, fell to the Kingdom of Romania .
