Allain is a French commune with 478 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Toul and the canton of Meine au Saintois ( canton Colombey-les-Belles until 2015 ). The inhabitants are called Allainois .

geography

Allain is about 15 kilometers south of Toul on the A31 autoroute . The neighboring municipalities of Allain are Bagneux in the west, Colombey-les-Belles in the south-west, Crépey in the east and south-east, Crézilles in the north-west, Ochey in the north and Thuilley-aux-Groseilles in the north-east.
