Bois-de-Haye is a French commune with 2,257 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department in the Grand Est region . It belongs to the arrondissement of Toul and the canton of Le Nord-Toulois .

It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2019 through the amalgamation of the previous municipalities Sexey-les-Bois and Velaine-en-Haye , which have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Velaine-en-Haye.

geography

The municipality is located around twelve kilometers west of Nancy in the Moselle valley . The A31 motorway runs along the southern municipal boundary . Neighboring municipalities are: Aingeray in the north, Liverdun in the northeast, Champigneulles in the west, Laxou in the southwest, Maron in the south, Gondreville in the southwest and Fontenoy-sur-Moselle in the west.
